Boasting 19 museums and galleries, 32 classified historical monuments and many beautiful parks and gardens, Nice is a jewel of a city influenced by both French and Italian culture. Discover Nice in depth as you wander through the streets of the old town and stroll along its famous Promendade des Anglais before entering into the heart of the city with its rich architectural and cultural heritage and its parks and gardens.

THE NICE INTERNATIONAL CHORAL FESTIVAL

The Nice International Choral Festival opens with a welcome ceremony hosted by the city’s Deputy Mayor, after which Les Voix de Nice, a local Nice choir, give a short choral performance. During the festival, choirs perform in the 17th century Sainte Réparate Cathedral, built in honour of the young martyr Saint Réparate, patron saint of Nice.

As part of the festival, there is also an opportunity for choirs to sing a friendship concert with a local choir and to sing at a Roman Catholic Mass or other service of another denomination.

During the festival, choirs can see some more of the local area and take a full-day tour to Monaco and Monte Carlo or a half-day tour to St. Paul de Vence.and Vence.

A day trip to Monaco and Monte Carlo is an excellent add-on to the festival experience. It is just a short journey to Monaco and here choirs can enjoy an enchanting mixture of natural beauty, artificial glamour, and blue blue sea. The beautiful Monte Carlo is at the centre of the tiny principality of Monaco. Monte Carlo is said to be must be one of the most evocative place names in the world, summoning up an image that is all its own. It is a must-do while staying in this area.

Paul de Vence is the most visited medieval village in France. Located in Provence approximately 30 km northeast of Nice, this little village has conquered the hearts of tourists from around the world. On a beautiful day, you can roam the shadowed alleyways and wander from fountains to plazas and from gardens to art galleries in this splendid medieval village.

Whatever you choose to do during your stay in Nice, CCI will ensure that your festival experience is never forgotten.
