About Salzburg Choir Festival
In spring 2023 the “Jubilate - Choir Salzburg” invites you to attend the third “Salzburg Singt!” choir festival in the stunning Salzkammergut region in Austria where choirs perform Johann Sebastian Bach's masterpiece on the Saturday in the Catholic parish Church Ebensee.

Salzburg is known as a city of music - known particularly as Mozart's birthplace. Attend the Salzburg Choir Festival with your choir and luxuriate in the magic of this stunning city. Attending choirs have the possibility to perform in front of an international audiences on three different occassions. The programme allows for ample free time for choirs to visit Mozart's house, take a 'Sound of Music' tour and perhaps enjoy a Mozart concert dinner in the grand Baroque Hall of St Peter's Monastery, the oldest restaurant in Europe, where Mozart used to dine. And be sure to take time to enjoy Salzburg's famous coffee houses and chocolate.
Salzburg, with its Baroque architecture and ornate churches, and towered by the famous Hohensalzburg fortress, is known as one of the most beautiful cities of the world. The cities history can be traced back to 696 when St. Rupert founded the Abbey of St. Peter and Nonnberg Abbey. Under the rule of the Archdukes, the religious sovereigns of the country, the Fortress of Hohensalzburg was built and became a Baroque residence. In 1816 Salzburg became a part of Austria and in 1920 capital of the Austrian province. Today, the city is famous for its many musical connections and of course the famous movie "The Sound of Music".
Itinerary:
DAY 1
Your local assistant will greet you at the airport for coach transfer to your hotel in Ebensee. In the afternoon, choirs rehearsals take place. In the evening, group dinner at the hotel.
DAY 2
Buffet-breakfast at the hotel.
Morning: Rehearsal (choir incl. piano. conductor: Jan S. Bechtold)
Free time for lunch
Afternoon: Rehearsal (choir incl. piano. conductor: Jan S. Bechtold)
Evening: Group dinner at the hotel.
DAY 3
Buffet-breakfast at the hotel.
Morning: dress rehearsal (choir, soloists and orchestra. conductor: Jan S. Bechtold)
Afternoon: Sightseeing excursion followed by free time for lunch.
Evening: Admission; set-up/recital 3 rd „Salzburg Singt!“ Festival – Festive concert at the parish church
After show party – light dinner included. Enjoy a relaxed get-together party with all participants and the festival staff.

Tour Manager
A CCI Tour Manager will be assigned to you for the duration of your booking, to assist in the pre-departure preparations and to assist with any issues during your stay. The tour manager does not travel with the group.
Transportation while in Austria
Choirs usually make their way around the city with the local guide via public transport. However, we can arrange coach transportation for your group as required.
