The international contest features a variety of musicians, including pianists, guitarists, strung, bow, and wind instrument performers, as well as orchestras, soloists, classical and jazz singers, academic and chamber choirs.

In this contest, an important role is assigned to the jury, consisting of world-renowned professionals in their field. They evaluate the technique, musicality, emotionality, and originality of the performances, helping to identify the most talented and deserving participants. That is why the search for sponsors to participate and support talented and promising participants is so important.

For contest participants and their companions, a special excursion program is organized. The contest is brought to life through the efforts of Fiestalonia Milenio, the town halls of Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar, the Culture Department of Tossa de Mar, the Department of Tourism of Lloret de Mar, the Ministry of Culture of Catalonia, the “World of Culture” association, and the Charity Fund “Fundacion SOS”. The contest of music evokes powerful emotions and creates a holiday atmosphere, with the beauty of the music perfectly complemented by the serene sound of the sea.

Jury & Judging

The jury of the contest is formed of the most important cultural workers of Spain, France, Canada and other countries of the Eastern Europe and Asia. International jury is formed by the contest’s providers. Participation in the gala concert isn’t guaranteed for everyone and is confirmed due to the results of the previous shows according to the consolidated legislative decision of the contest providers and the judges.

The Jury has the right

- Not to award all the prizes

- To share prize among performers

- To award special prizes to teachers for outstanding achievements

- To make a decision about breaking a performance which exceeds the bounds of the regulations

- The jury evaluates the participants on one hundred-point system, the final result is made up of the average quantity of the received scores and the average value of the progress scores

- The jury’s decisions are final and are not subject to review

Evaluation Criteria

- Redegree of the complexity of the repertoire

- Degree of virtuosity and technical capability

- Scenic culture, artistic skill, creative uniqueness

Whats Included in the Price 

- 4 days and 3 nights in a three-star hotel or in four-star hotel

- Half board, buffet (breakfast, dinner+ drinks; lunches for additional price – cost €5 for children under 12 years old, €8 from 12 years old)

- Transfer hotel – place of holding gala concert in Tossa de Mar – hotel

- Special thank-you certificates in the form of engraving on a special basis from the town´s authorities (for groups of 5 people and more)

- Letters of appreciation for leaders and sponsors on the official numbered letterheads of the kingdom of Spain (included 2 letters)

- Festival fee

- For group leaders of 25 people or more, accommodation in the double room at the price of the triple room

- Live streaming of the contest viewings and Gala concerts on YouTube

A CCI Tour Manager will be assigned to you for the duration of your booking, to assist in the pre-departure preparations and to assist with any issues during your stay. The tour manager does not travel with the group.

 Transportation While in Spain

Choirs usually make their way around the city with the local guide via public transport. However, we can arrange coach transportation for your group as required.
