International Cantus MM Music & Culture Festival, Salzburg, Austria

Dates: 03 July - 06 July 2026 | Salzburg, Austria

All year long, the city of Salzburg hosts numerous cultural and musical top-class events, such as the world-famous Salzburg Festival, the Cantus MM Festival and many others. With its unique historical scenery, including the fortress Hohensalzburg, the Baroque Residence, the Salzburg Cathedral, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s birth house and the historic city center (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Salzburg is the natural choice for your choir trip in central Europe.

In 1999, the non-profit organization Chorus MM established the International Cantus MM Music & Culture Festival which has been a big success ever since. The festival is open to choirs of all categories as well as folk dance groups, orchestras and music groups of various genres (e.g. jazz bands or brass bands). The repertoire is free to choose, all music styles are permitted and there are no compulsory songs.

Highlights of the festival are the joint Festive Concert at the Great Hall of the University of Salzburg, the ecumenical mass service at Salzburg Cathedral and an outdoor performance at Mirabell Gardens. All concert revenues will be donated to selected social programs or charity foundations. Be part of a unique festival in W.A. Mozart’s birth town: sing, play for international audiences and create memories that last a lifetime!
