5th Sing Berlin International Choir Competition & Festival

Berlin, Germany

27 May - 31 May 2027

June 2028

In May 2027, Berlin will host the 5th Sing Berlin International Choir Competition & Festival, welcoming choirs from around the world to one of Europe’s most vibrant cultural capitals. Organised by Meeting Music, the festival is part of an international series of choral events held across Europe.

The festival begins with the arrival of choirs and an opening reception for conductors and jury members, followed by the Opening Concert of participating ensembles. Over the following days, choirs take part in competitions, festival concerts and cultural exchange activities.

Choirs may participate in either the competitive categories or the non-competitive festival section, offering a welcoming environment for both experienced competition choirs and ensembles wishing to perform purely for enjoyment.

In addition to performances, choirs can take part in individual coaching sessions, friendship concerts with local choirs and accompanied stage rehearsals. Alongside the musical programme, choirs also have time to explore Berlin’s rich cultural history and famous landmarks.

Choir Contact Ireland can help you plan an unforgettable choral trip for your choir. We take care of the planning, logistical arrangements, dealing with the ground operators and organisers, from start to finish, allowing you to focus on what matters most — the singing.
