The XXVIIth International Choir Festival in Paris France is organised by Music and Friends. This festival is suited to those choirs looking to travel for a short period and who would like to have some free time to explore the city. Your choir will have the opportunity to sing in this significant place of Parisian cultural life, in front of a big audience, which will definitely be a fantastic experience for all your choir members. There is plenty of time for choirs to arrange sightseeing tours and to see all this wonderful city has to offer.

Performance Details

Friendship Concerts, Concert at La Madeleine Church, Farewell evening 

Frienship Concerts

A choir from Paris or Ile de France will welcome 2 or 3 foreign choirs. Attending a friendship concert is a great opportunity for the choirs to meet and share their mutual musical interest. These concerts take place in theatres, town halls, concert halls, conservatories or churches, in Paris or the Ile de France region.

Each choir will perform a few songs. The choice of the repertoire is free, traditional songs from the different countries are however very much appreciated. The concerts will be followed by a friendship drink.

Concert at La Madeleine Church 

The closing concert in honour of all participating choirs will take place at La Madeleine Church, which can accommodate a large audience (up to 800 seats). Each choir will perform successively. The concert’s grand finale is a song performed jointly by all participating choirs. The musical score will be sent to the choir a few months before thefestival.

Farewell Evening

At the end of the concert a dinner or cocktail party will be arranged. The setting of this event will depend on the number of participants. This valuable moment will allow the participants to enjoy a little longer the feeling of sharing a good mood of the final concert and especially to make contacts with other French and foreign choirs in a friendly and festive atmosphere.

Additional Concerts

The choirs have the possibility, if they wish so, to attend a mass in a Parisian church or to perform in other places such as senior citizens' houses or any social institution. 

Tour Manager

A CCI Tour Manager will be assigned to you for the duration of your booking, to assist in the pre-departure preparations and to assist with any issues during your stay. The tour manager does not travel with the group.

Transportation While in Paris

Choirs can reach the concert venues by subway (or public bus) from the hotel or we can offer optional coach transfers. We recommend that larger groups consider the use of a coach for the transfers.
