The Advent Singing Festival offers choirs the opportunity to perform in one of Europe's most charming Christmas destinations. Participants perform Advent and Christmas music at Salzburg's famous Christmas Markets, including the Cathedral Square and Hellbrunn Castle, as well as taking part in a special Advent Concert alongside local Austrian choirs.
More than simply a festival, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience Austrian Christmas traditions, share music with local audiences and fellow performers, and enjoy the festive atmosphere of Salzburg during one of the most magical times of the year.

Performance Details
Market Performances | Advent Concerts | Joint Performances with Local Austrian Choirs
Performance at the Christmas Market
Perform at Salzburg's traditional Christmas Markets, either on the steps of Salzburg Cathedral or at the stage in front of Hellbrunn Castle.
- Date: Friday and Saturday afternoon
- Duration: Approximately 20-25 minutes
- Repertoire: Advent and Christmas music
- Rehearsal: At hotel
- Presentation: Choir introduction included. Sound system and microphone provided.
Advent Concerts
You can perform on Friday or Saturday evening with another guest choir and a choir from Salzburg at an Advent concert. These concerts are in churches in Salzburg. This friendly choir meeting is under the sign of uniting people where music, culture and christmas traditions can be exchanged.
- Date: Friday or Saturday late afternoon
-Participants: Maximum 3-4 choirs
- Duration: Approximately 25 minutes per choir
- Repertoire: Advent music and sacred repertoire
- E-Piano: available
- Rehearsal: At the hotel or in the church (must be arranged)
- Presentation: by a multilingual host

Tour Manager
A CCI Tour Manager will be assigned to you for the duration of your booking, to assist in the pre-departure preparations and to assist with any issues during your stay.
Transportation While in Austria
Choirs can reach the concert venues by subway (or public bus) from the hotel or we can offer optional private coach transfers. We recommend that larger groups consider the use of a coach for the transfers.

Day 1 - Arrival & Christmas Market Performances
Arrive in Salzburg and transfer to your hotel.
Check in and enjoy some free time to explore the festive atmosphere of the city.
In the afternoon, participate in your Christmas Market performance at either Salzburg Cathedral Square or Hellbrunn Castle.
Dinner at your hotel or local restaurant.
Breakfast at hotel.
Enjoy a guided walking tour of Salzburg, discovering the city's historic streets, landmarks and Christmas markets.
Free time for lunch and Christmas shopping in Salzburg's Old Town.
