The International Music and Choir Festival for choirs & music bands takes place each summer in themedieval town of Montecatini Terme in the region of Tuscany in Italy.

With its amazing architecture, this elegant spa and health resort has been a well-loved attraction for centuries. Montecatini Terme is located in the heart of Tuscany, not far away from Lucca, Pisa and Florence. The International Music and Choir Festival gives the opportunity to choirs and music bands to perform in different concert venues at the Spa Garden Tettuccio as well as giving open-air concerts in Florence and in Montecatini Terme.

PARTICIPATION OPPORTUNITIES

Tour Manager

A CCI Tour Manager will be assigned to you for the duration of your booking, to assist in the pre-departure preparations and to assist with any issues during your stay. The tour manager does not travel with the group.

Transportation While in Italy

Choirs usually make their way around the city with the local guide via public transport. However, we can arrange coach transportation for your group as required.

 

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1

  • Arrival & Festival Opening
  • Check-in to your booked accommodation
  • Meet your local festival assistant for a brief welcome meeting
  • Group dinner at accommodation
  • Welcome evening: All choirs participate in a torch parade to the Spa Garden “Tettuccio”
  • Welcome speech of official representatives of the city of Montecatini Terme and the festival organizers
  • Enjoy a concert performed by the musicians of the prestigious Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
Day 2
  • Sightseeing & Concert
  • Group A: Morning: Performance at the the Spa Garden Tettuccio
  • Afternoon: Excursion to Lucca or Pisa
  • Guided city tour upon request
  • Group B:Full-day guided city tour in Florence 
  • Open-air performance in the inner-city
  • Evening: Group dinner at accommodation
  • All groups perform at the Piazza del Popolo in Montecatini Terme
  • Representatives of the “Maggio Musicale Fiorentino” will select the best choir during this evening concert
Day 3
  • Sightseeing, Concert & Closing Ceremony
  • Group B: Morning: Performance at the the Spa Garden Tettuccio
  • Afternoon: Excursion to Lucca or Pisa. Guided city tour upon request
  • Group A: Full-day guided city tour in Florence
  • Open-air performance in inner-city.
  • Evening: Closing ceremony & common dinner at a local restaurant
  • Farewell with the official representatives of the city of Montecatini Terme
  • The best choir will be certificated by the Maggio Musicale Fiorrentino Academy
  • Finally, all participants will perform together the farewell song “O Signore, dal tetto nation” by G. Verdi.

  • Departure
