The 12th edition of the International Choir Festival "CORINFESTIVAL" is an important event, that unites the passion for music and singing with the universal values of friendship and solidarity. It is a friendly and non-competetive choir meeting, that favors the approach of distant and different musical cultures.

The festival is dedicated to the various musical styles and is held every year in October. The artistic direction and organization lies in the hands of Professor Manuela Borghi, choir director and chairman of the choir Schola Cantorum of Bazzano, in collaboration with music & friends.

The diversity between the mountains and sea offers visitors to Emilia Romagna breathtaking views, in addition to beauty for the eye and the soul, with a mixture of colors, scents, joy, music, film and art, all in a single region. Art and culture have found their ideal breeding ground. This is the land of Verdi’s novels and Giovanni Pascoli’s poetry, as well as Fellini’s unmistakable cinema.

Bologna is the capital of "Emilia Romagna“. The city of fairs and trade condenses these ascpets in the Basilica of San Petronio, one of the most beautiful churches in Italy with its unique and unfinished facade. In Modena, the city of taste and home of the tortellini, you can visit the Romanesque cathedrale and the bell tower Ghirlandina.

A journey through this region may be under different signs - one is undoubtedly the art of enjoyment, with a kitchen full of intense but refined tastes like the famous mortadella, the world-famous Parma ham, together with the Grana and Parmesan, trademarks of the Italian gastronomy. Finally the wines: Trebbiano, Lambrusco, Barbera and Sangiovese.

Tour Manager

A CCI Tour Manager will be assigned to you for the duration of your booking, to assist in the pre-departure preparations and to assist with any issues during your stay. The tour manager does not travel with the group.

Transportation While in Italy

Choirs can reach the concert venues by subway (or public bus) from the hotel or we can offer optional coach transfers. We recommend that larger groups consider the use of a coach for the transfers.  

 

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1

  • Arrival during the afternoon at Valsamoggia or Bologna or surroundings
  • Receipt and Welcome of the local authorities and the organsation
  • Transfer to your hotel
  • Check-in in your hotel rooms
  • Diner at your hotel. Overnight
Day 2
  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Departure for the guided tour of Bologna or Modena 
  • Lunch in a restaurant
  • In the afternoon return to your hotel e prepare for the Choir Concert
  • 6:00 pm Gran Concerto «Corin Festival» in a local Theatre (p.e. Theatre Fanin of San Giovanni in Persiceto or Theatre Laura Betti in Casalecchio) together with all participating choirs
  • After the concert return to your hotel. Overnight
Day 3
  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Check-out
  • 10:30 am Choral Greeting at the Villa Sapori Lazzari or Rocca Bentivoglio of Valsamoggia with Choral Singing and Refreshment
  • After the Choral Greeting departure
