The Spring Symphonies International Orchestral Festival & Contest takes place on the beautiful Costa Brava in Spain and welcomes orchestras, music groups and instrumental ensembles from around the world. This international festival gives musicians the opportunity to perform before an international jury, take part in an educational programme of masterclasses, workshops and joint rehearsals, and share their music with performers from many different countries.

Set in the vibrant coastal region of Barcelona – Costa Brava, the festival combines performance, cultural exchange and Mediterranean atmosphere. Alongside the contest programme, groups can enjoy optional excursions to Barcelona, Montserrat, Girona, PortAventura and other highlights of Catalonia.

Jury & Judging

Performances are assessed by an international jury of experienced music professionals.

Evaluation criteria include:

- Degree of virtuosity and technical freedom

- Scenic culture, artistry and creative individuality

- Degree of complexity of repertoire

- Harmony of all instruments and teamwork


Awards & Prizes

Participants are evaluated using a 100-point scoring system.

- Up to 70 points – Diploma holders

- 70–79 points – Laureates of the third degree

- 80–89 points – Laureates of the second degree

- 90–99 points – Laureates of the first degree

- 100 points – Grand Prix Winner of “Spring Symphonies”

Grand Prix winners receive a large cup and diplomas. First place winners receive a trophy and diplomas, while second and third place winners receive diplomas.

A CCI Tour Manager will be assigned to you for the duration of your booking, to assist in the pre-departure preparations and to assist with any issues during your stay.

Participants usually make their way around the city with the local guide via public transport. However, we can arrange private coach transportation for your group as required
