•Discover Mozart's Salzburg

•Perform in Salzburg's famous 'Stiftung Mozarteum'

•Meet choirs from around the world

The "Meet Mozart" is an International Choral Competition and Festival, held over three days in historic Salzburg. The inaugural event was held in 2012 and was attended by choirs from Germany, Italy and Ireland. The 2019 event will take place in Summertime when choirs can really see the beauty of the city.

Choirs can choose to participate in the competition, judged by an international jury or just sing for pleasure in the festival category where as particular feature, choirs can have a special performance where one juror will listen to the performance and analyse it together with the choir director. This is very useful for choirs who are considering entering a competitive event in the near future, as they will be given advice and pointers on their performance to help prepare for a future competitive performance. Both the competition and festival are held in the Stiftung Mozarteum.

From arrival to departure, choirs enjoy 3-days of choral performances and events and get the opportunity to meet with other choirs from around the world.

Salzburg is a city known worldwide for its music. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, one of Austria's greatest sons, was born here in 1756, and many great masters of the Classical Era lived and worked here as well. Share in this rich musical and cultural heritage by taking part in the 2019 "Meet Mozart" International Choir Competition and Festival.
