Participate in the Corearte Barcelona Festival with your choir and experience the vibrant culture, music, and traditions of Barcelona. Your choir will enjoy a week of good music in one of the beautiful and cosmopolitan European cities. Barcelona offers a wealth of things to do and see. This culturally rich city offers the famous sights of La Sagrada Familia Church, Park Guell, The Picasso Museum and Las Ramblas, a lively and colourful street favoured by artists, musicians, tourists and locals alike. Also just a short distance away is Girona, famous for its medieval architecture, walled Old Quarter (Barri Vell) and the Roman remains of the Força Vella fortress.

Corearte Barcelona is a non-competitive festival, attended by choirs from all over the world. This unique festival provides the opportunity for choirs to meet and mingle with other participating choirs and to hear choral performances from around the world. Your week will consist of workshops, choral meetings, concerts, exciting tours, wonderful gastronomy and much more. With the breathtaking beauty of Barcelona’s old town and golden beaches, this choir festival is sure to delight.

The Choral Workshops

Since its inception, the choral workshops have been one of the most prominent areas of the Corearte Barcelona Festival as they give participants the opportunity to work with internationally renowned conductors. Each year, the festival works with local and international conductors offering participants the best training in choral singing. Some of the conductors the festival has worked with include Josep Prats, Amarilis Pagán Vila, Sanna Valvanne, María Guinand, Pablo Trindade, Néstor Andrenacci, Voicu Popescu, Basilio Astúlez, among others. Choirs participate in 4 workshop sessions totaling 15 workshop hours and participate in a grand finale concert with all festival participants. A general rehearsal will take place before the Festival Gala Concert where pieces worked on during the workshops will be performed.

The Concerts

All concert venues are chosen for their acoustic quality and cultural and/or architectural interest, providing an opportunity for participants to sing at important sights in town. Concerts will be take place in venues including the Park Guell, the Crypt of the Sagrada Família, the Main Hall of the University of Barcelona, the Basílica del Pi, the Basílica of Montserrat, or the Santa Maria de la Valldonzella Monastery, among others.

Below is a sample itinerary for the Corearte Barcelona Festival. This is for information purposes only. All final itineraries are tailored to individual choirs requirements.
On arrival in Barcelona, choirs are met by their local guide for private coach transfer to hotels.
Flight time permitting, choir can set off on a guided sightseeing tour of Barcelona and see the city's many highlights first-hand. Admire the fanciful La Sagrada Familia church, see the Gothic Quarter and take a stroll down Las Ramblas. Workshops also begin on this day.

In the evening, relax over a welcome dinner.

Following a leisurely buffet breakfast at the hotel, choirs will visit the historic Park Güell for a morning of singing and sightseeing.

Today, visit the Basílica of Montserrat, Catalonia's most important religious centre and site of the Black Madonna. Here, choirs will have a short concert performance. Workshops also take place on this day.

Today, choirs have the morning at leisure for independent sightseeing. Choirs can set off and explore the sights of Barcelona. Admire the fanciful La Sagrada Familia church, take a stroll in the Gothic Quarter, visit the Picasso Museum or simply wander down Barcelona’s famous Las Ramblas to the Port Vell commercial area with its many restaurants and markets.
In the afternoon, the festival concert takes place in Barcelona.

Once you enquiry with CCI you will be given your own dedicated festival planner, and this planner will also assist you with the booking of flights for your group.

We use both low-cost internet fares and our long-standing relationships with other carries to ensure that we can secure the best travel option for your choir.

Airport transfers

CCI are happy to arrange airport-hotel-airport transfers for all choirs who have booked flights with us. Unfortunately, we are unable to arrange airport transfers where flights are not booked as part of the festival package.
